Unable to install sp1 for vista

Hi Everyone,

I had to format my laptop (Acer Aspire 9302 with Vista WSMi) with the recovery cd that we do. Vista reinstall normally but has lost the sp1.

I therefore downloaded from the Microsoft site but not be installed, the pc does not crash but not after the last reboot it I see that the service pack was not installed.

How to install?

And is it useful to have this service pack?

Another issue which has nothing to do with it,,,, Is this complicated to xp

The service pack 1 is required for the proper functioning of some software
