| Desktop.ini Files Shown on the Desktop in Windows Vista I am having Windows Vista Install as my Operating System.From few days i am seeing a two files icons on my desktop name as Desktop.ini .I know that one has come from the following location C:\Users\Public\Desktop and don't know about the second one.I don't want to have both icons on my desktop i am getting irritated with this.Can anyone help me out with this issue. |

I was also facing the same issue because by default this two icons have the System, Hidden and Read-only attributes assigned. So they should not be showing on the Desktop unless the following option is disabled in Folder Options: Hide protected operating system files (Recommended). Following are the steps:-
Now the two desktop.ini files are no longer visible on the Desktop. |
