| Windows 7 Installation Error 0x80070241
hello, I downloaded Windows 7 from Microsoft and after a while, when it comes to 20 to 30% of the installation files, it marks an error code (0x80070241), the missing file and I am forced to abort the installation. I burned the DVD to install via Windows Explorer, and to be sure I downloaded a second time the file, this time also same problem. Quote:

Hey! Did you get any errors or warning while burning the DVD? I had this issue on my old machine and i couldn't boot from my Windows XP CD. All i did is i burnt another CD and it was working then. You can also check if the DVD-RW is working properly [Use Disk Lense Cleaner CD if required]. All the best... |

Hey Thanks! That was a very quick reply. I tried to burn another DVD which gave me the same error. I burnt the third DVD i got the same error. I was in doubt that my DVD-RW is at problem. I got a new DVD-RW and still the same problem. I re-installed Nero but still the same error. I still gave a try to all the DVD one by one but all of them give me the same error!! What could be the problem? Shall i use some other ISO Burning software? Help Guys. Thanks in advance. |

Hey! From the information you gave which includes DVD Writer Check, Burning Software check as well as used new DVDs. I can conclude only one thing. May be your ISO image that you have downloaded is corrupt. Did you download it from Microsoft? If not then just delete the image and get one from your friend, or you can wait till May 5th for the RC Version to hit the internet for "Public Download" Always use genuine softwares. All the best. |
