problems with the installation of windows xp

Hello,
I have an HP Pavilion, unfortunately, a virus attacked me. I decided to format. I had a problem in the formatting. I do the following in the format:

First, I changed my pc boot disk drive to the CD, it all works fine until the file copy of windows in the hard disk and then at the end of this copy windows prompted me to reboot complete the installation here I have a problem despite the boot from hard disk it keeps restart a redundant way and it does not complete the installation . Any information will be welcome and thank you in advance.

You do not restore a XP CD with your HP?

If you have this CD, you have to boot on that and it will reinstall your XP.

If you did not, try formatting / installation.

Can you see the logo of XP at startup?
