It seems that you have lost your sndvol32.exe file.
For that you need to follow few steps as below:-

    1. Put the Windows Cd in the CD Rom.
    2. Browse the Cd to i386 Folder and over there you will find sndvol32.exe file copy it to C:\Windows\System32 Folder.

Restart your Pc and now you would be able to hear the music enjoy.

There is one more way of doing the same is by:-

    1. Open a command prompt (Start > Run > type in cmd and press OK.)
    2. Use the command expand followed by SNDVOL32.EX_ SNDVOL32.EXE. In Explorer copy the SNDVOL32.EXE from the C: to C:\Windows\System32. Problem should be fixed.

Alternatively you can copy it over straight away from the CD using the expand command:

    e:
    cd i386
    expand sndvol32.ex_ c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe

Where e: is your CD/DVD drive.
