Error while installing Windows XP Service Pack 3

Hi friends,
I am facing an issue while installing Windows XP SP3.I am not able to complete the setup.I am getting an error message as
"Service Pack 3 setup error. Service Pack installation did not complete".

Can anyone provide me with a good solution.

Sure i will help you out with this issue you need to follow few of the below Steps:-

1. Download and install the Subinacl.exe file by Clicking .
   
2. Now Open Notepad and paste following code:-
   
   cd /d "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Resource Kits\Tools"
   subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
   subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
   subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
   subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
   subinacl /subdirectories %windir%\*.* /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
   secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose
   
   
3. Save the file with name "SP3.bat".
   
4. Now run the file and restrat you PC and you would be able to completely install SP3.

I try to follow the steps but it didn't worked for me.

Yes it won't worked because Soloman has Skip One step.

After saving it you need to Right Click on it and "Run as Administrator".I am sure by doing this it will work for you.
