Right click my computer then properties, in the restore tab move the slider to give it more space to add restores.
If it is for Vista, if you have a Vista Express or Retail installation DVD, then you might consider doing a repair install. This will allow you to repair your Vista installation without losing your files, settings, and programs.
Try this mate. It worked for me,
- Delete all restore points, use the Disk Cleanup utility.
- Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then Disk Cleanup. Click on the more options tab and then select Clean up in the System Restore dialog box.
- To delete all the restore points on your computer, disable and re-enable system restore on the system.
- Click Start, Control Panel, and then the System icon.
- Click on the System Restore tab in the dialog box, select the Turn off System Restore check box, and click Apply.
- Clear the check box again to re-enable System Restore and then click OK.
will have ago, though ive already reinstalled system restore having deleted all points and it still refused to oblige
try this one
you can fix the looping by booting up with a windows cd and log into the repair/recovery console.
then run the following commands at the disk prompt
then "exit" and
- chkdsk
- fixboot
- bootcfg /rebuild
- fixmbr
try booting normally again.
incidentally, if you initiated a restore point then it is highly corrupted the process of restoration.
therefore, if after you boot and the o.s. is corrupted, i recommend that you
perform a repair installation with your windows cd in order to replace missing or corrupted system files with genuine ones from the cd.
will give it a go,thanks
