According to me, it seems to be that Free BSD and Linux are not of same type. As compare to each other Free BSD seems to be better than Linux.

Try to install Automatix (Go to a command line and type sudo apt-get install automatix2 when it is done, look in APPLICATIONS SYSTEM TOOLS and open up automatix.) Inside of it, there will be an application called SONGBIRD, which is an itunes player. This might help you out.
