Hello everyone,
I have install Windows Xp on my pc and there are many viruses on my hard drive. So i just thought of formatting it. Can any one tell me, is there any fastest way of cleaning up the hard drive?
Can you tell me that you just want to clean your hard drive and wants to reformat it? It is very easy, just insert your Windows Xp disc in your cd- rom.
Reboot your system and just follow the instructions.
Before recycling or disposing your old drive do not forget to remove sensitive data and make your hard drive secure. To completely obliterate sensitive data secure erase is another built in feature. Just deleting your files using delete action won’t delete your files from actual location.Formatting and erasing your hard drive will serve the purpose of obliterating sensitive data.
Shredders programs will wipe your hard disk drive by covering with unidentified patterns of zeros and ones and this makes the drive unreadable for any software to restore with original data.
Reformatting a disk prepares it to accept a new operating system. It also wipes out everything on the hard drive.
On Windows XP, you'll need to download the disk information.
Go to BootDisk.com and click "DOS — Windows 9X/NT4/2000/XP Excellent Bootdisks."
Download the Windows XP Custom Install Disk and save it to a floppy.
Then, Restart and re-install Windows on your system.
