Adobe Air 1.5 - unable to uninstall

Hi.....I installed Air 1.5 () and now I can't get any of my applications to work. I'm on OS X 10.5.6, and had everything working before. but I can't even uninstall because the uninstaller is gone, and when I try to reinstall, it tells me that I have it installed already. I'll really appreciate any help , and I'd like to get this working!

    Thanks !

To remove an Adobe AIR application on Mac OS, drag the application to the Trash. More info here: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...#removeAirApps

Download the AIR Runtime installer. Open a terminal.cd the Installer directory.
Try the following command to uninstall the Runtime:

    Code:
"./Adobe AIR Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe AIR Installer" -uninstall
If the uninstalling works, then install the Runtime again.

This is the same problem I have. Can someone explain exactly what to do in terminal step by step? I don't yet understand how it works. I'm on a mac if that makes any difference. For instance, what's terminal.cd?

    what is terminal.cd?

Terminal is the application you can find in Applications/Utilities folder. After you download the AIR Runtime, double click on the AdobeAIR.dmg file to mount the disk image. You can copy the Adobe AIR Installer file to your home directory( then you don't need to use the command cd). Launch Terminal. Then type in the command and hit return.
