Open all the folders in the same window

I have a problem with my Windows XP. Every time you open a folder opens in a new window instead of in the same skewer, this is a problem because I have to go all the previous closing for me not to fill the screen.

Is there any way to get open in the same?

I have seen in a folder options-Open all the folders in the same window, but although this option does not check it. Is there any registry key or another way to achieve this?

That is an option that is changed from the following menu of the browser window itself of folders:
"Tools / Folder Options" in the "General" tab to choose the option:
"Open all the folders in the same window."

NOTE: You may need to close all browser windows folder to apply the new settings.

But this option is that I have checked. I have done with all the windows closed and restarted the computer and then by whether it was necessary but nothing.

Is not there another way?

Well it should work.
I was just going to try the following. In the menu before: "Tools / Folder Options" there is a tab called "View" and a button on it with "Apply to All Folders", may not work but do not lose anything for trying.
