| Computer shuts down without any warning
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ GIGABYTE 8800 GTS 320 MB 4 x 512MB Corsair XMS DDR 400 MHz HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1TB PSU - Power 500W ATX12V v2.0 Recently my computer started shutting down without any warning. At the beginning, I thought it was the heat problem and so I opened my box and it did not had more worries. But recently the computer has stopped all of a sudden, most often in games, but some times when working on Word Powerpoint and Photoshop. I generally restart immediately and the temperature are not very high (around 60 to 80). I change the thermal paste processor this week to be quiet, but it did nothing. I even pierced my side plate to add a fan of 120 mm extraction just below my graphics card. I have two other 120-mm fans on my case: 1 front aspiration, and 1 other to the rear extraction. I have disassembled, I dust everywhere, checked all connections (cards, cables), removed all my unnecessary devices but nothing worked. The air circulates well in the box. All my cables are attached and tackles on the box. I have reduced my RAM sticks to 333MHz and my CPU is not overclocked: 2200 MHz. Please help! |

Your psu might have died. Just try another one. |

| Re: Computer shuts down without any warning
I have already tried with another power supply (with 350 W). But got the same result and crashed after ten minutes of game play. Something that I find oddis that the change in core temperature. It can vary from 10 degrees in 1 moment! Often the body is less warm than the CPU. So, I think it comes from there. |

A 60 to 80 deg doesn't that alarming you something... Just check the capacitors on the motherboard. Also check your HDD. |

I tested my disk using the seagate tool and it passes all the tests. I checked all my motherboard capacitors and they are also fine. Any other ideas. |

1) Check the specifications for your AMD processor, it supports the vcore memory 1.3/1.4V 2) Check the tension in the BIOS of your motherboard. 3) the controller is not weak In my opinion you are having the cooling problem. Provide some extra cooling to your rig. |
