sad Vista Installation - No device drivers were found

Hi,
I recently tried to install Windows Vista (with a SATA CD/DVD ROM & SATA HD) once the DVD is booted & the setup is started, I receive a messagebox "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing..." So I went searching for those CD/DVD drivers but wasn't able to find them anywhere! After reading a lot about this same problem, I decided to connect an IDE DVD-ROM and the setup was able to continue a bit further. At this moment I receive a message that says "No device drivers were found" (It couldn't detect my SATA Hard Disk)

I wonder can someone help me out please or find the right drivers? I've been searching for a solution for days now..

Both hard Disk & CD/DVD-ROM are SATA as far as I know.

ACER Aspire M3641
CD/DVD-ROM: ATAPI DVD A DH16A6S SCSI CdRom Device
Hard Disk: WDC WD64 00AAAKS-22A7B SCSI Disk Device
Motherboard Model: MCP73PV
Chipset: Nvidia GeForce 7100

Any kind of help is welcome. (:
Thanks in advance!

If you prefer using DOS click the link below to download a MS-DOS ATAPI interface driver.

Open the device manager and then toggle the CD/DVD-ROM drives tree and then right click the HP DVD-ROM to open it's properties. Now open the Drivers tab and click on Driver Details. This will list all the drivers that will work with that particular DVD-Rom. It will also pinpoint the location of those drivers (usually in c:\Windows/System32/Drivers). Locate and copy all of the drivers listed to a cd or floppy so that you can point the Vista installation to them. Hopefully this will work enough to actually install the OS.

Simply turn off IDE emulation for SATA drives on the motherboard and the problem will be solved.
I guess it depends on each manufacturer and BIOS, but I guess this can be the problem for some people.

SATA is a computer bus technology for data transfer from hard disk. The easiest and safest solution is the integration of the Intel Controller drivers into a bootable 32/64bit XP or W2k3 CD by using a tool like nLite. All you have to do is install drive and boot from your OS installation CD or from existing hard drive. In order to install them, you need to check out the following links.

but no luck, my problem is still there,
my pc is ACER ASPIRE M5641.

I boot the vista ultimate from dvd when its done to boot and he ask me if i want to install or repair computer, i click on Install, and then i get this message'

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing..."

i check every thing in Device Manager and i dont see any yellow sign and nothing is missing, all the part r up to date. nothing is missing. my HDD and DvDWriter are pluged with sata cable. my HDD is on First Channel and DVDW on second channel. i already make a big search on google and visited many sites but no change. somesay to copy the DvdW files on cd and when the windows ask that a driver r missing, then i should install, i did this also but it dont found.

Re: Vista Installation - No device drivers were found

I think you need to update your motherboard's BIOS, Do you have SATA drivers for your PC? That also might be needed druring the installation. Try both and post back...
