What motherboard and processor do you have? Do you get errors in Memtest if you test with 1 piece at a time?
Motherboard: Asus P5Q Deluxe and CPU is Q6600.
Have not checked memtest with only 1 piece but will do so as I get time.
Error message appears almost with one-time, I have tested memtest sectors ...
OK, you run Intel-based, then we can rule out that the error depends on the 8500 ram-limitation contained in the AMD Athlon CPU
Try 1 piece as they have in SLOT 1
None of the pieces would be proper in memtest .... set in the old pieces that are of the battle Mushkin DDR2 4096MB extreme Performance XP2-8000 2 x 2048MB 1000MHz. (5.5.5.15 ).......... Have not received any error messages when I use these as well as I expect that there must be something wrong with the new ....
Set up the voltage to 2.1V ?
Remember also that both pieces should be in yellow slot (dual channel mode)
