Windows XP is telling that the password is about to expire, even though that I have not set any password expiration policies. How do I stop this warnings, Please suggest some solution before it got expire and my account get locked.
Following these steps should turn off this feature:
- Click start
- Type: command prompt
- Right-click it when it appears in the list
- click Run As Administrator
- Type the following command and press enter:
net accounts /maxpwage:0

- Go to Start > Run and in the Open: box type control userpasswords
- Select the Advanced tab in the User Accounts window
- Press the Advanced button below the Advanced user management header
- Select Users in the Local Users and Groups.
- In the right pane, right-click the user name for which you want to change the setting, and select Properties.
- On the General tab, check Password never expires
- Click Apply and OK, exit!
