Knoppix 5: Formatting reversed?

Hello,

I've accidentally formatted my entire hard drive.
I wanted to Knoppix 5:01 a permanent image in order to save the Config bzw.um a swap file.
Now my entire hard drive a full swap partition.

Previously it was a FAT partition (30 GB) and it was * Windows * XP and personal data.
When I boot from the drive wants, I get an info "Missing operating system".
If I were the partition under Knoppix will mount, I get an error message "swap partition, not mounted."

Is there a way to format to undo or at least recover data?

TestDisk is ready.

According to the results fit the hard drive contents (files) and the File Allocation Table "is not together. That is why I have the Boot Sector of Testdisk . Has worked!

My files are accessible again, but wants the computer from the hard disk does not boot.

As you will see only a "C", that's it.

So I shall *- * Windows installation CD to use the boot sector again to rewrite.
But before I my old files.

So if Ontrack for a few thousand euro requires - I'm doing well for half price!
