i am faceing a problem with my windows xp

when i am installing windows xp it will be shuting down automaticaly.
so friends tell me what problem is there.

Are you able to see bios page? What excatly happens when you are trying to install windows xp? Do you get any error message? Is your windows copy genuine? Can you you be more specific?

If the system is shutting down after a fix period of time then its may be a problem of over heating of CPU. Check the CPU fan connections properly.
