    Several versions of Windows XP

    Hello,
I got myself all the components of a PC but for the operating system I would like Windows XP and there are several versions available:

    - Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2b OEM
    - Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition - Updated + Service Pack 2
    - Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition + Service Pack 2

    What should I take?

And an Intel Core 2 Duo E 7200 will operate to full performance graphics card Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 4850 or Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT?

Could you advise me on choice of one of 2 graphics cards?

Will a less powerful processor, type E5200, would be good for this graphics cards?

    Thank you.

Re: Several versions of Windows XP

Take the OEM version. Its only restriction is that once installed on your machine you will not remove to install it on another machine.

You can not install the updated version because it will require a license from a previous version of Windows for this machine.

The non-OEM version does not restrict the OEM version, but it is more expensive.

And if not, to save money, why not you going for Linux?

Your CPU is very appropriate for the type of video card you want, and between the two cards I will propose that the Radeon is the most powerful.

Thank you for your advice I was a little lost with all. For Linux I do not know enough and it is an operating system completely unknown to me, I'm afraid some of my games and other software will not be compatible ... I think about a potential purchase of Linux for my PC in the next few years.

You can do whatever you do under Windows with Linux except games. Anyway you can try without installing anything.
