Most Probably This Could Be Due To Load Of Softwares You Might have Installed On your Windows Vista Operating System.Try Uninstalling Some Of Them You Might See the Difference In Performance.

The Suggestion Conrad Gives You might be one of the reason which causes The Vista Too Shutdown Slowly. As of Now There Is a Method To Speed Up Winodws Vista SLow Shutdown Process.

Here the Process, Just follow the Steps Carefully.

    1. Click Start,

    2. Select "Run" popUp dialog Box like this Will Appear

    3. Type "Regedit" (Without Quotes) , In the box and then click ok Or Press enter

    4. Registry Editor For Windows Vista Will Popup like This

    5. In Registry Editor Right Pane Navigate to

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Control
    6. Double-click The key "WaitToKillServiceTimeout" And Set It To "1000" And Click Ok

    7. Exit Registry Editor And Restart Pc

PS: This value is the number of milliseconds Vista Has to Wait before the closure of Vista, so theoretically it will be here 1 seconds.

This Might Improve your Windows Vista Performance.Have A Nice Day
