The Suggestion Conrad Gives You might be one of the reason which causes The Vista Too Shutdown Slowly.As of Now There Is a Method To Speed Up Winodws Vista SLow Shutdown Process.
Here the Process, Just follow the Steps Carefully.
- Click Start,
- Select "Run" popUp dialog Box like this Will Appear
- Type "Regedit" (Without Quotes) , In the box and then click ok Or Press enter
- Registry Editor For Windows Vista Will Popup like This
- In Registry Editor Right Pane Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Control- Double-click The key "WaitToKillServiceTimeout" And Set It To "1000" And Click Ok
- Exit Registry Editor And Restart Pc
PS: This value is the number of milliseconds Vista Has to Wait before the closure of Vista, so theoretically it will be here 1 seconds.
