| Formatting a hard drive to NTFS in Linux
Another problem that can troubleshoot more than a response to a drive failure on the Windows partition active: can you format a new disc (No. 3 here for the cases that deal) ntfs in linux (here I am under the live cd Mandriva 2008.0) to copy data disk 2 on 3 (c 's new) then the data disc 1 on 2, then to be able to install windows on Disc 1 ? I myself made it clear? Thank you in advance for your answers ... |

Hi, Since you live cd, if you have access to a console, trying fdisk. If your primary disk and IDE, type "fdisk / dev / hda" if it is SATA / SCSI "fdisk / dev / sda" (a secondary drive, it will be hdb, on the second channel). Once fdisk, you all aid possible, at worst, "mannual fdisk" or http://www.google.com to find how to use fdisk easily. |
