Use these steps to solve your problem.
    1. Open windows explorer then click on Tools->Folder Options

    2. Click on the View Tab.

    3. Scroll to the bottom and deselect (uncheck) the option that reads 'use simple file sharing'

    4. This will allow you to see the security tab when viewing the properties of a file/folder.
