    Processor reduced?

    Hello!
I formatted yesterday to settle some problems nothing important, I then installed the drivers format as before, while walking unique almost since when I started Call of Duty 4, I started playing, I plays tranquil and there poof! and back to windows I resume normal, I reopens Call of Duty, I play and it cuts! I think directly to an overheating problem, I look at my bios:
    The processor is 6x 999 instead of 999 ... 9x Weird ...
I therefore submit my processor 9x, reboot my hands on the bios of curiosity and there still 6x ... I understand the problem here, since I have not restarted Call Of Duty 4 that I re-think the same thing, ie cutting.
If one of you has an idea: /
    Thank you

    Re: Processor reduced?

The problem may be material and I think in overheating.

Here is what I think from what you told us:

    Physical causes:
    1. Overheating monitor temperatures. And we communicate
    2. Feeding problems: testing the food in another PC, test the PC with another food ... it's pretty boring short to be determined.
    3. Problem of "short circuit" test case off the PC and / or test with another food and / or test with a minimum of devices connected
    4. Defective RAM: use memtest86 + to test the RAM, let 2 or 3 hours and see if there are errors (it appears in the form of red lines. The lower red line that means your RAM is defective)

    Causes software:
    1. Problem drivers => reinstall the drivers (not necessarily the latest version)
    2. Problem updating Windows => check that you are updated
    3. Directx problem ... => Reinstall directx

    Re: Processor reduced?

First of all thank you for helping me
Since I play in full screen I can not see temperatures pc, but here are those I now:
    Coeur1 CPU temperature: 86 ° C
    Coeur2 CPU temperature: 86 ° C
    CPU temperature: 75 ° C
    Temperature of the motherboard: 37 ° C
Diode temperature of the GPU (I know not his role to it): 37 ° C

But what I understand is not whether there is overheating, why it makes me only after formatting yesterday evening before it was unique, I just added a 160GB hard drive that works unique.
And if not, whether it comes from windows, why is the bios which goes directly into 6x instead of 9x?

    Re: Processor reduced?

I forgot to ask the model and brand of your CPU ...
So if you can give me it would be interesting.

Because, according to the model CPU; 86 ° is still high.

Since you play in CoD4 I infer that your bike must be relatively recent, so I can deduce that your CPU is relatively recent.
However, the recent CPU does not heat too (excluding overclock).
So, I would say that 86 ° C is much too much.

However, 86 ° does not seem sufficient to cause a shutdown of the PC, the question is whether you have measured the temperature of your CPU when he was in charge or at rest ... (?)

You say, than it crashed before your relocation and installation of a new hard drive ...
So it is possible that the problem is at this level ...
Could you try your PC without your new hard drive?

    Re: Processor reduced?

    My processor is a Intal Core 2 Duo E8400, a 3GHz.
For the test without a second hard drive, I will try it when I finished downloading Windows updates since I installed the SP2 simply that I am putting a day.
