Installing Ubuntu programs on Fusion

Now I have a problem - every time I try to compile (installation) programs under Ubuntu using the virtual machine (VM Fusion), I get the error:

configure: error: C compiler can not create executables

This also happens when I'm logged in as root. Can this be the reason for the shortcomings of accesses to the relevant directories, because of the use of Ubuntu in a virtual machine?

And after what combination? Not to mention bundles of ready-installation binary.

Will comfort you. I could not build anything in Ubuntu. Always something missing from him.
But these programs to be installed to me absolutely enough.
