How to install Linux on Intel?

Hello. I would like to know how to install ubuntu on iMac at Intel. Is it like the PC, that boots from a CD or otherwise?

Somehow yes, boots normally as every PC, just hold C when they show the help informatiom which you can read.
What would you like to have Linux and Mac OS or do whatever else is already little different matter, there is multiboot etc.

I do not know what you want to install Linux on mac'u o.0 osx, after a simple bsd accompanied by a nice eye for tools and look ... Most applications from Linux will you work
