    File system for Linux

    hello
    I want to install Linux on my computer, ubuntu 8.04 and I want to know what format should I give after formatting, whether NTFS or Fat32 for a new installation of Linux. Thanks alot for the time.

    Linux uses its own file system ext3. During installation, you propose to make room on your disk (or use the free space if any). This setting is a small slider, very simply. Do not touch your scores yet.

    Well, I want to know what if I give it a Fat32 file system.

    It will make its own format alongside or replacing the format that you have given. This is essential.
    Is there you have a particular interest in maintaining a FAT32 file system?
