    Windows Vista Premium Error Rundll32

Hello all. I am hoping someone can help and shed some light on the current issue I am having. Every time I attempt to open a specific folder that contains lots of video clips, an error window keeps popping up for every clip that becomes viewable as a thumbnail. A video codec seems to be generating the error each time it tries to display the image or thumbnail. In the error below the codec is named lmpgspl.ax. I also see errors for a codec named lmpgd10.ax. There may be some other codecs generating the Rundll32 error also.

If I view this folder in "Detail" or "List" view, the problem does not happen. Also, this does not happen for any folders that contain plain image files. Only for video clips when the view mode is set to Icons or Thumbnails. There is a large number of clips so this error would generate hundreds of times if I were to let it go. I am very grateful for any help that you could send my way.

The following is a copy of just one of many errors I get as an Application Event Error:

My system is an HP Pavilion Media Center PC (m7747c) with Vista Home Premium - 32bit installed. It's a Core 2 Duo E6400 with 2 gigs of memory and an Nvidia GeForce 7500LE.

I did get one brief window (Problem Reports???) that indicated a number of possible reasons for the errors but I don't know where to find that data on Vista. Any help with this would also be greatly appreciated.

I am a new Vista user and I am really struggling finding any online data for errors that are generated with Vista's event logger. I have already had to reinstall this system once after a catastrophic crash and I seem to have had problem after problem since I got this system. This is just the latest episode in a series of problems I have with Vista. If I could install XP on this system I would but according to HP this was designed for use with Vista and no software or support for XP is available.

Thank you in advance for anything you can find on this.

I have also experienced this problem with vista in the past. Similarly it only occurs when in Extra Large, Large and Medium icon views. I also have a Nvidia GeForce (Nvidea GeForce Go 6150) video card, Vista Premium 32bit, and 2Gigs of memory. I have a feeling that it is caused by eithor the Nvidia GeForce video card, Vista Premium, or a conflict between the two. Other than switching the folder to detail view or the like, I have yet to find a solution to this as well.
