    Repair Windows

Hello I had a problem on my laptop and after some research I found this:

This message does not necessarily mean that the hard disk is defective, it may be simply a problem in the boot sequence of the disc.

To remedy this, insert the Windows XP CD and boot it.
When it comes to giving the interface between the choice "between facilities" and "R reparation", press "R".

In the Recovery Console, enter the following command

    CHKDSK / R / P

Once the analysis is complete, enter the following command:

    Fixboot

. Remove the Windows XP CD drive and restart! The problem should be solved now!
    . My question is:

How can I boot on my external CD drive?

This process allows you to rewrite your program boot in the MBR (512 first bytes of disk) that contains it and the partition table (the list of your disk partitions). The boot program is the program that is used to load your system. He is apparently defective. To make the external CD drive bootble you have to enter the BIOS at startup and in the boot order should have the USB devices.

What is the name of your bios?
Otherwise it is generally indicated in the bios. On mine it is with the + and - but it varies according to the bios.
Try, cheat (any way you can exit without saving changes if you is bull****) and otherwise shows me the name of your bios

You do F8 and there is a menu where you choose the device on which to boot
