The man of Microsoft Windows, Mike Nash, announced last night on his blog: Service Pack 2, Vista will be available in public beta on Thursday December 4. This test version is available since 2 December professionals registered on the networks MSDN and TechNet of the publisher.
But on 4 December, the beta can be downloaded by any tester in the soul, "the enthusiastic technophiles, developers and IT pros, Microsoft cites. The editor nevertheless recalls that for most users, it is better to wait for the final version to install the pack.
A final version expected in April 2009
Windows SP2 Beta will be published on TechNet, under a Customer Preview Program (CPP) Microsoft. The pack, which also Windows Server 2008, includes traditional updates and security fixes made to the operating system from SP1, launched last spring. Microsoft offers no official date on the availability of the final version of SP2. But according to the Malaysian site TechARP - generally very well informed about the timetables for the publisher - Vista is due in SP2 Release Candidate for February 2009, with a RTM (Release to manufacturer), the final version planned for April. Until then, the first beta of Windows 7 has already been published, a priori early 2009.
