hi,guys i am manoj i had purchased the windows xp home edition and it was installed by the retail shop where i purchased ,and the cd key sticker which will be on the cd case was sticked on to my cpu unfortunately the sticker was torn and lost i noticed when i was about to format my system,i even contacted the retail shop where i purchased it....its of no use they are saying its not possible..is there any way to get the cd key back or can i exchange my software...plz help me...

Did the retail shop stick it onto your CPU?

If yes, they should definately give you a new CD Key!! They damaged your product.

If no, then above applies to whoever did (sorry).

Call Microsoft - maybe they'll send you a knew one!
