PC restarts when shutdown in Vista

Hi,
I have Vista on my machine & i shut down my system very rarely.
but from last couple of days, my pc restarts when i want it to shutdown.
I have already disabled the automatic restarts!
Any help?

Can you tell me what happens when you press the restart button?

You need to update your motherboard bios. Have fun! I recommend taking it to your local computer shop, it shouldnt be more than a half hour labor and 30 bucks.
