Minimize windows disappear

Hello,
I just installed the Windows XP.When I minimized the applications,they doesn't appear in task bar. They are disappeared. I don't know how to do it ?

I just installed my Windows XP SP2. I opened the programs. When I minimized them,they have to minimize in taskbar. Instead , they are disappeared . This is my problem.

try this: create new user and see if it's the same behaviour of minimizing. I searched the registry for any options but I couldn't find something related.. if it's ok you can extract your regisrty settings of the two users and compare them in Display, Control Panel, Start Menu sections (or even though take the working settings and import them in the broken one). Just last sentence - BE CAREFUL with the registry - a backup won't be redundant..

1. Click on Desktop -> Properties -> Themes -> Windows XP -> Apply -> Ok.
   
   
2. Right click on Taskbar -> Properties -> in Taskbar tab -> Uncheck Auto-hide The Taskbar & Group similar taskbar buttons -> Apply -> Ok.

Now check....if problem still Restore System.
