    Windows and Linux file sharing

    A greeting to all

    I have a problem. I need to connect 2 PC's with a win xp and another with 9.1 suse, to two share files?

    Can I use a null modem cable?

    If the two machines are on the same network, simply configure the Samba server on your suse, and installs a program on a Windows machine, and smart, you just connect from each of the machines through the ip of the other ( could make a permanent connection, but that would be otherwise, given that both windows and linux handle passwords, and that both system security )...... The other problem that would, if such is the Windows system files with ntfs only be able to read the Linux partitions, but can not write in it ...

    configure the Linux server samba. It is very easy to do by Webmin.
