Need to reset windows XP

Hi,
I dont know if its possible or not?
But i want to put my windows XP to the state where i had installed the XP on my drive. I know windows system restor but its of no use for me. i know system reinstall but it wont uninstall the unwanted software programs from the registry.
I am using ccleaner but still i want to get a clean & fresh install without loosing the data ie. format & reinstall.

To "reset Windows" is to clear your hard drive using a free program that's on your Windows XP cd called "f-disk". This will wipe out everything on your hard drive, as well as a hidden set of Windows entries called "the Registry." If you simply re-install Windows without doing this, it will examine your Registry but will more than likely leave the settings and files alone as long as it detects the existence of needed files.

BE CERTAIN to back up your data onto a CD-R or someplace else, and know that you must own a licensed version of Windows XP and any other software programs that you use on a regular basis.
