Unable to erase empty folders

Good afternoon,

I saved some of my pc files on an external hard disk system by copying and pasting this is probably not the best way to operate but I took the easiest, Only now I have empty folders matching favorites ie at the time (2006),
when I want to open them, nothing, and when I want to erase it is complicated here, no way to remove them from above the external hard drive
how can I do to remove them?
I had talked about software that I installed but it did not work,
