Windows to linux?

I have been using windows for quite a long perion of time. I am thinking about Linux.
I want to know is it good enough to understand? Is it similer to XP & vista or its tough to understand!

Linux is available for free.
You can definately think & choose any distribution of linux & give it a try.
Yes it is different from windows But there are some distribution which works like windows! It's not tough!

I will suggest you to get an ubuntu live CD. It's a linux distribution & will allow you to boot from this cd & you can have a basic idea about linux operating system, Its very easy to try out!

Go for it, linux is the ****, you can also try a knoppix live cd to check out a linux distro, saves having to install anything. http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html
