Windows XP pro - error missing script file

I have this problem with my Xp pro system.
Whenever i start my computer i get script file missing error saying something like boot.ini
I don't know what is the exact problem may be i have deleted some important windows files yes i am a noob.
Can you guide me how can i repair my XP without inserting the windows Xp installation CD? Since i don't have my motherboard CD right now with me & cant do a fresh install.

Try the system file checker - go to start > run and type in sfc /scannow. Note the space between the c and the /. Most computers have a recovery section on your hard drive and hopefully the file checker will be directed to it and replace that windows file!

You can't install or reinstall your XP withoutthe installation CD!
Why don't you try updating your product? may be that will solve your problem!
