Resetting the Windows Update

Hello everyone,

I had installed Windows update, and on the next day when I started my computer, it started asking to enter a "new password". There is no rule of password or other perishable. I tell myself that following the PC Update rebels and deleted all unnecessary stuff

I've just installed an Avira taken on its official website.

So already I am not an expert, especially Vista that I did not do that and more by phone not helpful to understand something.

Are there any chances of virus, that came to my computer through updates, or any spyware or adware. Is it possible?

Have you tried to restore the system to a date earlier than updated patch?

I intend to try by today itself but I probably have the chance. Knowing little Vista, backups are being made without user intervention?
