Restriction of file usage

Is it possible that a user cannot access a file or cannot install a program, such as a word file? Is it possible to restrict such programs. Does anything needs to be installed for this? My manager is trying this on Windows server. Is it possible?

If you are administrator of the computer, you can make the rest of the network has no access to the folder where the file, or who can not open it, modify it, and so on.

But (if I interpret your query well), you can not do anything to prevent the system administrator see your file.

If you want to restrict it to open only you, add a password:

1. Go to "Tools" menu
2. Select "Options ..."
3. Go to tab "Save"
4. Put your password, and if you want, also password writing (not to amend it if achieved Open)
