I recently completed a DCPROMO from one Win2k server to another. All seems to have transferred correctly...roles, security, sysvol (& folder contents), policies, etc. I received the appropriate event log entries indicating successful communication between servers, and successful replication. All event logs are clean on reboot of new server with the exception of the NTFRS log, which gives error 13562 at infrequent intervals. This error has been logged 3 times in the last 5 days.
The event data is:
-----------------
Following is the summary of warnings and errors encountered by File Replication Service while polling the Domain Controller mailserver.roberts.local for FRS replica set configuration information.
Could not find computer object for this computer. Will try again at next polling cycle.
-----------------
As you can see from the error data, it does not reference any specific OU or CN, so I am not sure where to start with a proper diagnosis for the origination of this message. I have poured over asdiedit and cannot find any reference to the old DC. I have searched the registry and there are no references to the old DC. What am I missing? I am not receiving any other NTFRS errors...on bootup, I get the normal 13501 and 13516. The DFS event log is also extremely normal with no errors. Is this instance of 13562 something I can safely ignore, or should I worry about a future AD meltdown because of it's existence?
I have found ample references on the net in regards to 13562, but almost every instance specifically points to an OU or CN entry.
Thanks tremendously for your help
