I want to know what is registry key in windows?
What is the use of this registry? How it works?
Can anyone help me understanding the actual concept of registry key?

Registry
Windows Registry is a central database for application configuration settings and other information required by the applications. Actually there is nothing else you can do with Windows Registry besides reading its data and write data to it. It contains information and settings for all the hardware, operating system software, most non-operating system software, users, preferences of the PC, etc. All changes made by the user in control panel settings, syatem policies, file association, softwares installedetc these changes are reflected & stored in the registry.
