installing windows with a computer with no operating system

OK i think you all the tech pro can solve the problem in no time,
I have a computer i recently formated it, it was in a service station to get formated there was some issue in the harddrive so i decide to format it . ok now they are costing me $ 150 for reinstall the os ( Vista ) and backing up the hd around cost is 350$ but i dont wasnt to waste my money on tht i could that also with some guide a reference .

first thing to do is that thereshould be a XP drivers for all hardware in your system, and then download them all to a flash drive or burn them to a CD, Obtain an XP CD, insert it into the computer's optical drive, boot the system make sure you have your Windows XP CD/license in hand.
