    sound delay in windows vista

Hello, i just wanted to know if someone had an experience of sound delay in Windows Vista. I am not 100 % sure that it has something to do with the drivers. My sound card is onboard (soundmax) & the drivers was updated by windows update. So I dont know if it can be fixed or not. After some troubleshooting It sounds to me that it is a driver issue for sure cause I went to Asus's website & downloaded the older xp drivers for my motherboard & I got an error after switching to xp compatibility mode. So i am stuck & dont know what to do. Please help me.

I also think that it is a driver problem for your hardware. You can just get the proper driver from here. Just look for the correct driver & you are good to go on.

I also have that crackling sound & delays in sound issues. But as you said, it is mostly the driver being at fault which irritates alot. You can also check Creatives site for good drivers.
