Best Linux Operating System to choose?

Hi..
I am looking forward to use Linux OS now.
So just wanted to know which Linux you guys prefer using. which one has best features & some more details about them. Please guide me which OS should i opt for me. I dont have any idea about Linux OS & can i justmake my PC to dual boot? Xp and Linux?

Its good to use Linux OS along with windows.
Very first thing i want to tell you is Linux is different from Windows OS.
Latest Ubuntu Linux is really easy to use and as good as Windows. Also, Ubuntu seems to be the first choice these days for switching from windows to Linux on PC.Fedora Core 9 is been used in many business environments. Ubuntu is a great 1 which has veriations like Xubuntu, Kubuntu and eduBuntu.
PCLinuxOS, openSUSE, Debian, CentOS (RHEL for free), Simply Mepis, or Zenwalkare some choices amoung others.

Hey you can also put linux on your flash drive.
Linux on your pen drive
Ubuntu on pen drive

hey this is also a good option for you to install linux on your flash drive before choosing any specific linux for dual boot on your HDD. Live CD (Live Linux Filesystem On CD) is also an option you can try & see whether you like it or not?

Try out Fedora 9. I think it neither for beginners nor experienced linux users.
