Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H problem with HD 7950

I am having some issues with my computer that has a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H motherboard. If I am connecting the HD 7950 on this motherboard and turning on the pc then I am getting some beep code and the computer doesnt even start. The onboard graphics is disabled by me and I have also installed the latest driver? What could be the issue then? Kindly suggest

Well, did you check whether the HD 7950 graphics card is working fine in another computer? Have you ensured that you have connected the 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe connector to the video card from the Power Supply? Can you tell us what is the make and model of the power supply that you are using? Please let us know about this details.

I also had similar kind of problem with a new Windows update that was applied in my Windows 7 pc and it made my pc unstable. So try to remove that Windows update and see if that works. It will be even better if you can just reinstall Windows freshly. Just dont do any update in Windows until you download latest drivers from gigabyte and install it in your pc.

Did you try to update the motherboard BIOS and checked if that is working for you? I think that it might be only a BIOS problem and testing with the latest BIOS version might help. Even if you still face the same problem then you can always revert back to the previous BIOS if you want. You can download the bios from the official gigabyte website itself.
