Office 2007 Converter Admin Install
I am trying use group policy for rolling out Office 2007 Converter to groups of users and have tried using administrative installation using MSIEXEC but i dot know for what reason nothing is getting copied in target directory location. I have checked out the log and have see some error there as well. I have tweaked about this in some other forums and some people have mentioned that i cannot make an "admin install point" with office 2007, i just wanted to confirm if that's true.
re: Office 2007 Converter Admin Install
Yes that's true you cannot make an "admin install point" with office 2007, it was allowed with Office 2003 but its not in 2007. If you want then you can extract contents from FileFormatConverters.exe file in order to get .msi and use it with group policy. You just have to type below command in command prompt for extracting contents into c:\patch dir:
Once the command gets executed you can point to O12Conv.msi while doing group policy deployment.
