| Service Pack 3 update is unable to find sberet.msi file
When I try to install SP3, it tells me to insert the Windows installation CD. I do that, and then it says it can't find the path to sberet.msi. Any ideas? |

Read the message again... it's probably asking for your Office CD, not your Windows CD. George in Georgia wrote: > When I try to install SP3, it tells me to insert the Windows installation CD. > I do that, and then it says it can't find the path to sberet.msi. Any ideas? |

The message says to install the Windows XP Small Business Edition CD. My disck is the Home Edition. Is that the problem? Does the "sb" in sberet.msi mean Small Business? Read the message again. Hint: there is no such thing as "Windows XP Small Business Edition". George in Georgia wrote: > The message says to install the Windows XP Small Business Edition CD. No but there is an Office XP Small Business edition, and that contains an sbret.msi ( sbret = Small Business RETail) and seems to be OEM only What version of Office do you really have ( see in config panel -> add/remove programs or in any Office app help->about) "garfield-n-odie [MVP]" <garfieldnodie@discussions.microsoft.com> a écrit dans le message de news: eGYAfnXcGHA.4700@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Read the message again.
