I have installed Office 2007 SP2 today and have found that publisher files are not getting opened with it. I wanted to know if there is some issue in my case or there is something wrong going on with Office 2007 SP2 itself, any ideas?

I was running in to same issue after installing Office 2007 SP2, i haven't found a solution for opening publisher files with it. Currently i have uninstalled Office 2007 SP2 and things are working fine again. If you want then you can download "Microsoft Service Pack Uninstall Tool for 2007 Microsoft Office suite" and run oarpman.exe from command prompt using below command for removing 2007 SP2.
oarpman /remove O12SP2 /log c:\O12SP2\O12SP2.log
