Excel 2003 SAVE AS (NOT RESPONDING)

I saw all the problems with a security update in 2006. This JUST started
happening to me the day before Christmas 2008! I can't save any excel files
to my removable disk drive. It works for other files, but not EXCEL. I
checked MY COMPUTER, I don't have a kb908531. It MAY be an issue again with
my HP-psc750 also - the printer also won't respond most of the time when
trying to copy something. It just hangs & says BUSY. Since I'm sure it's
due to a new update recently automatically downloaded - is there a fix yet?
Please help!
