Make Office 2007 look like 2003

I loved the new features embedded in Office 2007 but there are few changes I want to do and hence need tips about the same. I am running Windows XP on my desktop but I have made some changes in its Group policies that make it look alike Windows 2000 (Classic). Doing this am getting the user interface of Win2000 that I want and also the features of Win Xp.

Now I want to do the same for Office 2007 also. If it is possible for Windows, I guess it would be possible for Office also. Do anyone know if there is something we can alter in Group Policies to make Office 2007 look like Office 2003 ?

i don’t think there is any such thing made for MS office 2007 in Group Policies but surely there are many third party programs and plugins that will help you get the classic look of Office 2003. For example, you can download and install “Ribbon Customizer’ that will help you to hide the Office 2007 new ribbon and get the classic menus and old style toolbar of Office 2003. Other is Toolbar Toggle that allows you to 'float' old style toolbars to have them in locations on your screen instead of 'top row'. There are also few such products made Microsoft itself that you can download from Office Marketplace.

If you are aware of the key shortcuts that were used in Office 2003, still there are many such shortcuts working in this new office as well. And for the ones not working in Office 2007 you can download 'cheat sheets' for many of such combinations from Microsoft available here. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/tr...295841033.aspx or look for some more such tips and guides here http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/tr...010229584.aspx

Other than this what I can suggest you is in case you are using Office 2007 retail edition and willing to continue older version you may be able to use the Microsoft software return/refund information here. http://microsoft.com/mscorp/productrefund/refund.mspx
